Altonio, founder of A+R Tactics and co-owner of Argus Integrated Defense, served in the US Marine Corps for 4 years before joining CMPD. During his 18-year CMPD career, he was a Detective in the Violent Crimes Task Force and Gang Unit, an Investigator in the Street Crimes Unit, and a member of the SWAT Team. He also worked with the FBI on the Human Trafficking Taskforce. Altonio is certified as an NRA and USCCA Firearms Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, and Simunitions and Force on Force Instructor, and holds belts in Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Nicole Thurman | Director of the Women's Training Institute, A+R Tactics
Nicole, co-owner of A+R Tactics, is a baccalaureate RN and certified Firearms and Combatives instructor. She specializes in teaching Self Protection, Home Defense CQB, Active Shooter Training, and Civilian Trauma Response. Nicole holds belts in Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and has competed in amateur fights. As an RN, she has developed and taught extensive Civilian Trauma Response Training. Her qualifications include NRA and USCCA Firearms Instructor, Simunitions Certified Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, Glock Armorer, Red Cross Certified Instructor, and TECC Trained. Nicole is passionate about firearms, BJJ, grappling, and combatives training, and loves sharing her expertise with others.
